We are looking for a Co-DRR to represent the Canadian side of our district for a two year term 2021 – 2023. You will work alongside the American Co-DRR to support the growth and success of Rotaract clubs across Rotary District 5050.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have held a leadership role in your Rotaract club experience (i.e.- president, club executive)
- You must be a current Canadian Rotaractor within Rotary District 5050 (there will be an opportunity to apply for the American representative in 2022)
- You have been involved in Rotary/Rotaract for at least two years.
- You should not be a club president from July 2021-June 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the point of contact for all Canadian Rotaract District 5050 clubs.
- Be available to answer questions/enquiries from Rotary clubs or the general public about Rotaract in District 5050, specifically for the Canadian side.
- Visit every Canadian Rotaract District 5050 club at least once each Rotary year.
- Working alongside the co-DRR to
- Establish yearly goals/things you would like to accomplish in your term
- Execute deliverables indicated from the strategic plan
- Organize a district wide club installation each July
- Organize monthly presidents meetings
- Maintain club information (ie-president, president-elect, membership numbers, meeting times, etc.)
- Promote events and opportunities to all Rotaractors (i.e. Big West Rotaract Conference, Big West Institute, Big West director positions, Rotaract Canada Symposium, Rotaract Canada positions, District 5050 board positions etc.)
- Create presentations and be involved in District events (district training, conference, etc.)
- Collect information for the quarterly newsletter, promote it, and distribute it
- Work with the District Rotaract Chair:
- Attending monthly meetings
- Strategic Planning
- Development of Rotaract in District 5050
- Be the main point of contact for Rotaract Canada
- Attend all relevant meetings, socials, etc.
- Voting proxy for all Rotaract Canada decisions
The role of a Co-DRR can be time-consuming at times, but it is very rewarding and fulfilling. By having the support of another DRR and the rest of the district committee, the goal is to make the role manageable while providing you with the opportunity to grow your leadership skills while continuing to elevate Rotaract.
